Overview:
The Senior Business Analyst will lead requirements gathering, documentation, and testing coordination for retail POS implementations, with a focus on convenience and fuel retail operations. This role bridges communication between client stakeholders and technology partners (e.g., POS Software Vendors), ensuring business needs are clearly defined, negotiated, and delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document high-level business requirements from retail clients and translate them into functional specifications for technology partners.
- Facilitate requirement discussions, negotiations, and compromises related to timelines, scope, and priorities.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including tax and tender rules, data migration plans, test scripts, and user training materials.
- Create visual materials such as process diagrams, PowerPoint presentations, and Visio/draw.io charts as needed.
- Support test planning and coordinate UAT activities with client staff, ensuring defects are logged, tracked, and resolved.
- Collaborate with partner teams (POS Software Vendors) to organize training and prepare for system transitions.
- Utilize Agile project management tools (ClickUp, Jira) to manage tasks and deliverables.
- Operate effectively in the Eastern Time Zone with occasional travel (up to four trips).
- Stay adaptable and responsive to changes in project direction, technology, and vendor alignment.
Preferred Experience:
- Strong background in retail and POS system implementations.
- Fuel retail experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
